Verified Reviewer |Resolved: Filed a claim over a month ago and Claims said they don't have the paperwork
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I received the funds due under my dad’s life insurance policy
I was then provided forms I needed to complete, as his beneficiary, to obtain the benefits. My dad was a devoted Catholic and lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.
After filing forms the filed agent sent me (actually Sue?) an email that the form was filled out incorrectly, even though the form said if it was not filled out correct they would send a check. I resent the form and pointed out that language.
I called last week (a month after submitting forms) and was told that the claims department does not have the forms.
This means the field agent has not submitted anything.
This reeks of either sloppiness or bad faith. This holiday season was rough without my father, and KofC has not made it any easier with their lack of compassion.
- Poor customer service to beneficiaries they seem hesitant to pay
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered
User's recommendation: Save your premiums and go with another life insurance company

I phoned customer service -(800) 380-**** for current copies of my annuities. The representative stated she could not email my documents, they needed to be mailed.
With one hour left in the work day (I'm assuming she wanted to leave early as it was a Friday) she could not do it until Monday. After waiting a week, the documents did not arrive by mail, so I phoned again. This representative (tone was rather curt) could email my statements. Of course, the email never arrived!
Getting nowhere, I phoned the regional office and Judi was more than willing to help me. She immediately emailed my annuity documents and offered to send my life insurance policy information as well. She waited on the phone to make sure I received them. Thank you Judi !!
Needless to say, the customer service office staff in Connecticut needs to be better trained or replaced. I can only imagine how many other customers have been left with a negative experience and go else where for their insurance and financial needs.
User's recommendation: Call your Regional office, NOT customer service for assistance.

Billing mistake
Your Customer service who try to answer the phone calls are very bad and rude. They shut the phone in my face as I am talking, keeping in mind, I invested several hundreds of thousands of dollars with you through multiple policies for my family.
I could have purchased from other reputable insurance companies. But I chose you because I am Catholic and a churchgoer. I overlooked any other reason that was a mistake because your company has nothing to do with faith love and care Just so you know, your Customers are coming to you because of their faith in God. They try to do something for their church, faith and family before the end of their lives.
Your marketing is your association with God and the Catholic Church. Your approach to your Customers should be based on these facts. Unfortunately, your mission and goal has become like other insurance companies money and money, mainly money.
I hope you will solve your problems before it is too late. May God bless us all.
Preferred solution: I hope you read my complaint to improve your services .
User's recommendation: Don't mix faith , family with business .

Verified Reviewer |General Agent incredibly rude and gave me another person's private information
My experience with General Agent Robert McGeehan was deplorable. He started off our interaction by giving me another person's account information and stated he was unable to explain the information to me (that didn't make any sense, since it wasn't mine).
When I pointed out that this could not be my account he became irate at his mistake and took it out on me. He ended up using God's name in vain and yelling at me -- not something you'd expect from a higher up in a Catholic organization.
Truly one of the worst interactions I have ever had. Extremely unprofessional and embarrassing that this man represents this company.

Didn’t know I was being sold Gold!
Met with my agent JH in the NY Hudson Valley area. He turns our appointment for me to get some Life insurance into a sales pitch for his other gig selling silver and gold for some other company.
He was actually discouraging me from purchasing an annuity and asking me to put my life savings into a gold account with people I dont know, never heard of. Yikes! The gold is held by his associates. So if the economy falls to pieces then I will have nothing.
Yet JH continued to tell me the economy could crash at any moment and I will be destitute if I dont buy gold now. The whole conversation was bizarre and had nothing to do with what I asked him about or the Knights. He talked about conspiracy theories and bashed the US government and our troops. Then the gold came up again.
Needless to say I said thanks but no thanks and went elsewhere for coverage. I love the Knights but this agent is not looking out for his clients best interests.
User's recommendation: Be careful which agent you use.

Verified Reviewer |Received a ck without any details
We simply wish to see the annuity or contract values that are being cashed out to us and to know what value is left with the company .
Despite calling the office as directed by the letter received , no return call occurred.
It is now becoming unnerving that perhaps there is other monies left in the company that were not disclosed .
We wish to know the status of this contract :0011419B and to see its payout and be assured its not being done with penalty .
I am one of the beneficiaries and the one who offered to solve it . My sisters had tried and they gave some explanation that they were not the ones who initiated the claim ,
Not true that me or my brother did as we did not know we were missing it !
All beneficiaries ought to know what a check is and what its tax implications are if any .My dad, Donald J Hennen had died Oct 31 2020.
This appears to be odd that no one can get information . His agent did leave so that complicates the matter .
Please call me at 515710****.
